• Steely Dan song meaning theories explained: Aja’s one of my favorites….the “dude ranch above the sea” is a rehab facility, the song’s narrative is about someone getting off the junk (all his “dime-dancing is through”)…In verse two the “hardware” he’s “throwing…Read More

    • Donald Fagen and Walter Becker were studio geeks. Perfection is what they strived for in their music. And they always had A-list talent in the studio. Like Mr. Gadd as you just referenced. Gotta respect “The Dan” Great song by the way. Appreciate you. – Damian

  • when that doctor asked me “son, how’d ya get in this condition?”
I said “hey sawbones, I’m just carryin’ on an old family tradition”

    • The way you structured the poem it looks calm then increases with intensity just to calm down again. There is so many twists and turns in one life that it is impossible to get the nuance of it. Between the government and the churches and the societal acceptance of things that should not be accepted. Very interesting write

I love how it doesn’t just tell a story; it drags you through the chaos of life, pain, and revelation, leaving you dazzled and unsettled in the best possible way.

  • Just received news of Phil Campbell’s passing at the tender age of 64. He and Wurzel were a driving force behind what I like to call the “Orgasmatron sound”, when Lemmy brought another guitarist on board and made it a 4 piece. Motorhead best album imo

    • It was sad news indeed the passing of Phil Campbell. All that’s left now is Mikkey Dee right? The four piece era with Wurzel was a cool era in the band. I love all the lineups in Motörhead. Also, had two of Phil Campbell’s solo efforts. Lemmy and all the guys just loved to play Rock n Roll. Great song and album. Appreciate you – Damian

All at the tail end of a nasty Mercury retrograde that ends on March 20th!!!! It’s made for a wild month so far. • I’ve heard that as well. EVH was a fan of AC/DC. His son Wolfgang said in an interview that one of the first songs Ed taught him was an AC/DC song. Not definite on the song, it might have been “Back In Black” Great band great song. Appreciate you – Damian
