Reality of Now
we could spend our time talking
catching up on our day to day
going over little details
cover the minutiaebut that seems like such a waste
we have…right here
right now
no more than that
and who knows when you’ll be backso let’s drop the illusion
that there’s any more time…

The Day of Unbearable Truths
25th wakes up
with the taste of lies
still warm on its tongue. Not grand lies,
not operatic betrayals,
but the small,
intimate ones,
the ones spoken softly,
the ones wrapped in promises,
the ones that sound like hope
until they don’t.This is the day
when the month feels
an unbearable pain,

Holding Hands
When they began
They held hands
They smiled

There is a motion, a movement to everything, to life. It has a direction and it is forward, not backward. For love to last, it has to change as the people involved change and as the world around them change. I have found this is how love, or any relationship, evolves, strengthens and continues. It is fun to remember the way we were, but even more…Read More

Insidious
I’m willing to sacrifice myself
to prove the truth
of my words
of meare you willing to do the same?
lies…
in time…
will be uncovered
and everyone will seethe scuttling
ear to ear
insidiously whispering
it will be seenI have never changed
eventually they’ll know
and perhaps remember
but it will be too…Read More-
I think that perhaps the question might be, do they have a conscious to listen to?? Often the conscious is suppressed by the ego of self, and thinking that self is the be all and end all of everything. Hell, it’s even written into the Constitution… ‘the pursuit of happiness’. My happiness versus your happiness. What an “insidious” way to live!!…Read More

The idea that one person’s “right or wrong” should apply to all is absolute arrogance. And the thought that disagreement on concept or friend choice should be cause for attack is insane. Differences are what we’re made of, it’s what makes us beautiful as a human ra e, and it’s our greatest strength…if we embrace them with love. To turn on others…Read More

The Louvre, the Funhouse, the Disco
April 24th arrives
already half‑forgotten,
like a dream you try to hold
but it keeps slipping
through the fingers of your mind.It brings with it
a fading memory
of the main room
of the Louvre…
not the paintings,
not the tourists,
not the velvet ropes,
but the room itself:

We used to say “seize the day, seize the hour,” and after reading your poem Willow, I might add, “the time is now, seize the power”. The power of camaraderie and not allowing anything to stand in the way. I think Anise Nin would be happy with your poem, Willow. It is alive with the passion of sharing experiences of the now. Beautifully written, Willow.
