In October, I’m going on tour, live, face-to-face to local market stalls and bookshops to try to sell a few paperbacks. Since Is It Today? came out in September 2019 I’ve sold 636 books: 474 kindles, 159 books and 3 audiobooks (Is It Today? and Basque). I am poorer as a result. Kindles generate 23p profit as I have to sell them for next to nothing to get any sales, kindleunlimited is free?!

The future is free online reading – so, cherish the moment while it lasts! We are under threat from those who wish to censor freedom of expression.

I firmly believe human writing – I write my own stories unaided by AI – contains an element that sets us apart from artificials, at the moment: emotion. I hope, for all our sakes, AI doesn’t start getting all emotionally upset with us. Time will tell!
