I get out more to live and online festivals by Self-Pub-Fest, based in Aylesbury who promote self-published authors for free.

In October, I’m going on tour, live, face-to-face… to local market stalls and bookshops to try and sell some paperbacks. So far, since Is It Today? came out in September 2019 I have sold 636 books: 474 kindles, 159 books & 3 audiobooks. I am much poorer as a result: kindles generate 23p profit, kindleunlimited is free?!

The future is free online reading – so, cherish the moment while it lasts! We are under threat from those who wish to censor freedom of expression.

I firmly believe human writing – I write my own stories unaided by AI – contains an element that sets us apart from artificials, at the moment: emotion. I hope, for all our sakes, AI doesn’t start getting all emotionally upset with us. Time will tell!
