      • Well, that was different! Although the AI voice does a decent job, it doesn’t measure up to the real Flatdaddy extraordinaire. I swear you belong in 1950’s and early 60’s Greenwich village.

        • Well, if I had done that, I’d be dead now, Sam, Thanks a lot, old buddy! 🙂
But damn it, it sure would have been worth it! Can you imagine how it would have felt performing with those guys? I became friends with Vince Balestri, who toured a one man show as Kerouac across the US for many years. He did the show here at Chicago House (now defunct) in the Austin 6th street entertainment district. I handled his PR, created posters and stuff for the show, etc. It was continuously sold out and was held over twice. He then played Kerouac in a movie called, I think, “Beat Angel,” to excellent reviews. Copies are hard to find — and I don’t have one. But he was a terrific guy and really lived the part.

      EYES OF OCEAN AND GRASS

In my years I have only seen different eye color in animals yet your eyes mesmerize me one like sea grass and the other aqua ocean blue rare, unmatched, beguiling, seductive the sunlight reflects to expose sincere hues and shimmer   Allow me to marvel...

      • Ah, it’s the eyes that capture the soul. The forests that we get lost within.
Your write tells us it is so for you. You describe it well.
        Great write.

      • Dear Betty, the eyes are the mirrors of the soul. It is usually the first point of contact and it can be the one that leads into temptation lol. This is beautifully penned. Lovely writing. I have yet to post here. Still trying to navigate the strangeness.

      • Hello Crims!
I like the old-timey vibe of this. I wish there was more along this type actually. It just seems to set a nice tone when reading. Like those before us perhaps. At any rate, this is a wonderful poem that you’ve presented for us.

        • hello dearest Styxian good evening I’m happy the language of this write spoke to you it was how it presented itself the poem I mean thank you so much for letting me know ❤️

      • Hey crimson!

The last line is a dark but beautiful visual. It gives me a Celtic vibe.
It starts off with wonderful bits of love then changes tone.
I love the word pairing of sweeping crimson. It’s like a red wave of devotion.

        Love your stuff chica:)

        • hello beautiful Adelphina good morning thank you graciously for such a lovely comment❤️

      Silently Drowning

It was red wine streams  which flowed me to their grave    I only wished to tell them   how much I missed them,  but there was something  in the Welsh air, which  stopped my lips from moving    The closest bar  was a lifetime away,  who told the barmaid...

      • You’re on a tear lately, Rob. Which is good for us as your audience!
You sir are truly a poet. Even if you scoff at such titles. LOL.
I love where this write took me, in my own visuals. just enough detail to create a scene, for us to be bystanders to with our own eyes in our brains.
