    • My Favorite Dessert

They ask me,what's my favorite dessert? Is it cheesecake with blueberries?Or is it lemon tart or cake? Is it a pile of sugar that decides my fate?My personal preference, but I love tiramisu. The oh so creamy layers. And the coffee and rum within.It...

      • Cleverly penned, Amethyste. Excellent write, I enjoy your observations my friend. Nicely done. Appreciate you.

      • I love the way this lingers on curiosity and small wonder, questioning the human need for beauty in a world that often feels void. There’s a quiet fascination here, observing what we cherish and why, without judgment—just attentive, almost tender.

        • Thank you Thomas. These are deep voices in my head that would have been lost and forgotten if I had not inked them. I often used to have such thoughts as for now I am not in the poetic mode much and I miss it. I have said it before and I am saying it again, I am a regular reader of your poetry and I like it a lot.

      • This is freaking deep and introspective.
This really got me “still be someone? And not someone?”
I took it as can I still be a person and just not another number.

      • Hey, my friend…This one aches with honesty—the kind that doesn’t clean itself up or ask for forgiveness.
It’s messy, human, and brave as hell, the voice of someone still standing inside the wreckage and telling the truth anyway.

        • Thanks, Thomas, this is a very nice review, my friend. And yes, it was difficult to write, but you know how things have been with me lately. I’ve been very circumspect about many things, and this was one result of that.

However, how about a laugh? Check this page or better yet, any of YOUR pages or someone else’s work. You will not there is an option to listen to our poems, even when we did not make or post any audios for them! And they are absolutely dreadful bits of garbage! It’s too funny to get angry about it, especially since it seems to be affecting all of us! The Spoken Word category is gone, too! Isn’t it hilarious? I sent a note to Fia about itt. What a hoot!

      • Oh yes…..I’ve heard my poems read by machines…it’s hideous.

      • Oh, I’m a sucker for free verse. The way this flows. The unapologetic confessional narrative. This is bold, brave, vulnerable. It is all soul, and I love every line of it. Thank you. Very powerful.

        • Thank you for your kind words, Kay-1. I have to admit it: I’m a sucker for praise. “Thrill me chill me fulfill me,” the lady said. If you know where that quote came from, you understand; if not, it doesn’t matter. I don’t think we’ve met, so welcome to my pad. I hope you venture through some of my other work. And let me know if there is any particular piece of yours you would like me to read, but beware: I am honest in my reviews, unless you’re writing about me.

      • haha. Lydia Deetz. Beetle is my man, or maybe it’s my childhood crush on Michael Keaton that has me thinking this. He is and always will be my Batman. I digress. I very much plan on reading more of your work. Sometimes I simply read and like, but since I have your permission, I will definitely offer my feedback. You can look at any of my posts and critique them. In fact, I could do with some critique of my last post. I’m thinking of polishing and publishing it. I know it’s rough, and I have thick skin. So do your worst.
