    Inkblade

Upon an endless paper plain, the sword leans—half blade, half quill.Black ink falls like dark tears, gravity grieves in its remembrance. Each drop forms a kanji—unwritten yet complete;the keen edge hums calligraphic, penned silence within this violence. Strike and poem share one stroke—both wound...

      (Lonely Dragonfly)

The mind is touched, sad emotions softly whispered unto, your diction, Dear Poetess, lends a tale of long ago … yet, ever-present in the Samurai heart’s core ‘n eternal soul ~ his katana.
And, ohhh, you’ve sang it’s poignant timbre as a true Onna-Bugeisha, who always spoke her power equally by virtue of ebony kanji or blooded tanto.

The rhythm ‘n flow of your Free Verse Quatrains dance above the page, as though transporting us into those feudal moments of yore … the magick hallmark of a master poetess’ pen.

I strived to highlight a word, a line, a verse for you … alas, all conspired to create the whole of exact poetical symmetry – your artwork choice in sheer perfection.

      I gratefully bow 🥋 … thank you, Dear S. Libellule ⁓ Richard ⛩️

    • The soul of a samurai rendered into a pome of compelling wonder. You have the spirit of Japan written with the Zen of a poet who can translate a culture and a place and its people into poetry that resounds like koto music in the night.

    • This is so tender
Favorite part is how you ended it

      “with not one hint

of a beginning, no signs of a

middle nor trace of an imminent end even”

    • “These words may have no beginning”… they have no end either… Enchanting, captivating, breathtaking… passionate as only how passion should be. this is a masterpiece of poetry and love, though the reader smiles as they read, yet it pulls a tender tear from the heart, a tear of love. Mr. Ken would be joyous reading this. beyond gorgeous….

      • Many thanks my very dearest of literary friends .. Please excuse my delayed response, I have been a bit busy of late and am still stumbling near blindly around this delightful website .. p.s. am glad you smile so favourably upon this little scribble and hope that Mr. Simm would similarly approve .. Kindest of regards & with wishes for all good things, Your friend, ME 🙂

    • Beautifully penned, Neville. A very delicate write my friend. Excellent work.. Appreciate you.

    • After reading the comments above, what could I possibly say? Hopefully, and it’s not just my wishful thinking it is the end part that is “real”. But that middle should be “real” as well. Damn Neville, your poem makes the reader (me) hope it is all “real” (and yes, even the fantasy parts!!) The sum of all these parts is: I loved reading your poem, Neville!!!!!!!!!

    • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mary. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I want music for this one. Currently I’m working on a song called, “Novocain.” The words are posted here on the site. I got the music laid out, got the growls recorded, trying to get a good vocal take on the verses and bridge. Which requires me to sing. lol. Glad to see you back! Appreciate you.

      • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, John. So glad you connected with the lyrics my friend. It is a sad state of affairs these days.
