Time
Is it time
I guess it’s time for me
to give you information you see
Because I don’t know how I was going to work this day
Everyday is not like yesterday
I know that you’re surprised
I decided to do this at this moment
Why
I write poems, I write stories, I write facts
When it hits me, I have to give it to you
You understand that
I didn’t know it was going to be this time
This day
This moment
To give you what I felt
It just shows that, when it’s time
Its time
To give you what I need to say

Today is the ed of National Poetry Month
I don’t know if you knew that was today

There are times when I sit here and just wonder
Where did the time go
And did I squander
What should have been the perfect time
To be higher than I am right now
But
No
There are reasons why times slowed down
And I just did what I had to do at that moment
Time is a fickle and funny thing
I don’t understand why time
Won’t give us a little time
Let us sing, let us praise, let us jubilee and have fun
No, we have to go do that 9 to 5 and
That’s no fun
Its time
I ponder how I would start this several ways
several times
Every time it would be a different way to go
And I am not sure what I am trying to show
I want you to know
Just like that movie, The goonies
Do you remember
“It was their time and now it is our time”
To do what we need to do

It’s time for me to do what I need to do
Not every time and every second of the day
To give away to somebody else
You understand what I am saying

Your time
Your space
Your joy
And maybe just maybe
This world would be better.
