Oh what joyous tidings!
Whimpering in defeat
The sweltering heat leaves us
Replaced with frigid frost
No longer do those sweat
Now to be shivering in layers
The leaves burst with color
A signal of their timely demise
The grey overcast is just ahead
No longer can we bask in sunshine
What a wonderful time of the year
For the sun will soon set at five thirty
Darkening the world into a haze
Mine bones creak and crack
The holidays are just around the bend!
Be sure to spend your final dollars
On material goods destined for the landfills
Snowfall is predicted for this year
How fantastic, to be bedridden
Oh what joyous tidings indeed.
