As I walk in the silence of the woods

A thought

Random in its design

Names

The creation of it

Was it the sound

The emotion

The pull willing you to name this…

I stand before a tree

My heart is confused

Life brings joy

The beauty of it brings aww

For if you ponder on this tree

It seems to weep

The weight it carries

It bends in its youthfulness

Still, it stands before you

Not touching the ground

Strength in beauty

Tenderness that rivals strength

I guess the name Willow

Is fitting

It will allow you to question

“Can I bend and still stand tall

    1. I have been that tree. I have been the leaves it sheds…pieces of me to scatter in the wind. Having to endure everything around and unable to flee. My bark is worn in places and names have been carved deep into me. Like a willow…I weep.
