Summary:
“Turn the light off, switch your mind off”. Inspired by the Morcheeba song “Gimme Your Love”

‘Freud regarded sexual energy as the primary drive behind many human behaviors. Because society forces individuals to repress these urges, they “escape” into the dream world, but they must be disguised to keep the dreamer asleep.’

dreams…
of pervasive visions haunt me
recurring they are
in the dark of night I vividly see

vocabulary…
I struggle with to give her justice
amorous is the first
hypnagogic imagery of just us

pulchritudinous…
my descriptor of hallucination
her bosom to bottom
I’m sound asleep with anticipation

voluptuous…
her curves come into focus
dangerously enticing
dreams constructing an opus

callipygous…
hips give me rise to her charm
hypnopompic imagery
elusive resolutions. damn the alarm

    1. I’m a huge dreamer so I relate to this on so many levels.
So many times I wake up and jot things down before I forget. I’ve learned to keep a spiral beside my bed.
Music is always a kickstart for me too when writing. It’s like fuel and feeds are visions or scenarios to write down.
For some reason I find chaos comforting. All the noise makes me want to write. lol
      Strange as it sounds.

      Loves this piece:)

      • Thanks Adelphina. Dreams are always a great source for writing material. Some are straight forward and understandable and others are nonsensical. Music is always a basis for my poetry.
