Cusp
Think not of mustard seeds
my love
but of tiny Grains of sand ..
Each one
as insignificant as the next
and vying
with those ever close tho’
slowly shifting
neighbours each one eroded
upon an infinite
but lazy beach somewhere ..
Just think
my love, these all did once
serve as
a heart and soul and pulse
of ancient,
tall weathered mountains ..
Indeed here,
upon this very beach where
we do both
now stand, similarly naked
just holding hands ..
Whereas other restless ghosts
such as them
and those shall be washed by
tireless waves
each pounded and drowned ..
Yes tis time to
caress the fragile, fractured
spines of flocks
of flying fish and all those
grounded birds
each one anxious for the sky ..
Take note then
of all carelessly discarded
whispers lost,
in the salt and sun-bleached
beards of fools
and other reckless demigods ..
For here dwells
a sure and certain madness
which reflects
and conveys both a glow of
helplessness
plus the fear of growing old
or fleeting youth ..
Indeed, that of Hebe herself
and all her
pretty sisters, not to mention
universal truth ..
Today though, while we are
busy shaping
fresh history, our tomorrows
will no doubt
continue to reign but unreliably ..

This describes moments in time and longing for the loss of precious time. Nice;))
It seems you can read me like a book Fia .. I hope my transparency becomes me .. Kindest regards & all good things, Neville
WE are in a time…tomorrows are really iffy. Love may survive but will we?
This is a telling piece…the nature of living on the edge…the sand maybe shifted at any moment and if so can we survive the tides.

You are indeed write Jacob, of that, I have no doubt whatsoever .. and furthermore, I thank you for your consideration of this particular page .. We do indeed live .. (or exist) during some very difficult times .. It’s hard to know what to believe isn’t it, or for that matter, what will happen next .. Anyway, thanks a minion for stopping by .. tis truly appreciated .. Neville 👍
