Rhapsody of a St. Tropez Muse in Summer
Dream logic unlocked
In radiant tresses of ruby fire
Burning a path across my retina
Like Beaujolais wine on a summer day in St. Tropez
Poured across milky breasts
When heaven cannot wait to disrobe
The pre-exhibition drapery of an artist
Whose brushstrokes unveil the maiden hues
Of beachside beauty seated on the throne of the Goddess
A model of womanhood playing the harp
Divan warmed by the inner fires
Of her corporeal form reclined in majesty
With the luster of a pearlescent heat
That haunts the painter on his chair
As his model unfolds her wonder
Beheld in a moment of sacred chant
From birds in the eaves
As they sing praises
To the muse of their music

Thank you so much Damian. Your words here are deeply appreciated. My muse for this poem is in her fifties but ageless and timeless as a Goddess. Much gratitude.

Thank you for taking me there this morning, John. It’s dark and rainy where I am right now so this was a lovely moment.
Glad you enjoyed and that my imagery was a lovely moment for you in the midst of the darkness and rain where you are. Thank you so much my friend. Greatly appreciated.
John
Outstanding write John. Your a great poet/storyteller
Thanks so much Visions. Much of the credit goes to my muse, a woman who has inspired me for many years. Her fifty-something beauty if ageless and timeless.

I did not read your new posts here, goldenMyst. i know you never write levity and worthless writes; but got pulled to your descriptive Bio, which is wroth reading and has the touch of true poet who managed to forge his quill with such fineness and truth….
Always get and feel the elevation of spirit when i read your poems.. this one is an example..romanticism at its acme..
Safety and.success.
Thanks so much Steven. Am honored by your words on my poem. Really heartening to read them. Very glad you find my poetry interesting. Really makes my day. Love that this poem in particular represented great Romanticism for you. That is what I was trying for. Glad you enjoyed.
