Dusty relics of forgotten lore
Hidden behind lock and key
Shadows rise to hit the shore
While dreams wash out to sea
Stillborn inside a think tank
Where ideas get thrown around
An empty stare becomes blank
Till lightning strikes the ground
Archaic riddles flow like wine
Ambitious antics numb surprise
On lost spirts the foolish dine
Speaking with hate in disguise
This world devours social graces
Working our bodies into powder
Walking amongst distorted faces
Twisted laughter growing louder
Tangled in a search for reason
Waiting for a change of season

We are so long overdue for one. I’m hunting light and warmth everywhere I can find it these days. I think we all are. I’ll gather dead fall if you get some matches. We can dance around the bonfire of hope, my friend
