Sometimes blind
We see beyond the veil
In liminal moments and thoughts
Lost in distant keenings
Drawn to something beyond the edge of this –
This, displaced, forgot…
Drawn to whispered other knowings
For we are strangers here
And we are missing there
Two separate and yet, one be
Blind and seeing
And sometimes
The veil is thin

Nice write my friend…
Thanks Fred. Just trying a different approach. Finding pictures on Pexels.com that interest me and trying to find words to fit them instead of just scribbling in a notebook. Hopefully it wasn’t to.painful an experience for you.
This had my mind thinking from the get go.
I love when a poem does that.
Thank you, Joe.
I believe we all have such moments at times, even if we tend to dismiss or forget them. I’m happy to hear this gave you a thoughtful pause. 🌼
Dear AJ,
I love that phrase “ we are strangers here, we are missing there”. Makes me think we are somewhere amidst the “ in between”
I enjoyed the journey of thought from this piece. Wonderful write of reflection. H🌷
