Your breath
Silent sonnets of poetry
Which wreath the air
With something more –
Indefinable
As if touching upon forever
You’re art in the stillness
That pleasures my eyes
And I’m lost
Drowning in the view

What is it stays the moment
Longer
Whenever you’re near
Imaginings take flight
From the shadows of my mind
Loosed like freshening breeze
Bearing the scent of rain
Before a summer storm
As distant thunder rolls

You possess that fire which stirs a man
And makes his feelings burn
Temptation’s realization
I would know you in your moons
You who glides between the seasons
Changling child
Yet beckoning
More
A woman full

Speak to me your truths
Unfolded in your eyes
Words will say anything
Soon lost upon the winds
Kiss me
As if adrift and lost for words
Searching
Sharing breath
In the blurring of forever
And a moment
In the hunger of your lips

What is time when you are near

    1. Dear AJ,

I have that effect on people. It’s true. Time is lost, lust is elevated and folks do tend to take leave of their senses in my presence. I can’t even write this with a straight face 🤭
In serious mode, this is a lovely piece. It truly reflects such a romantic feel and keeps poetry sizzling hot. I enjoyed your view of admiration for the muse and that of love between two people. You continue to champion the true essence of sensual writing. Great write. H 🌷

    2. Great piece for the summertide heatwave musings here on the hottest night I can remember.

“I would know you in your moons” is a particularly haunting joint.

Hope you are having a great 4th, old man. Salud~

    3. Ah, yes, the maid, the mother, and the crone. Always crossroads in the cycle of life.

It’ll be a balmy 96 degrees in South Carolina today, but what can I say, its summer in South Carolina 🌡🔥😂

      Happy 4th! 🌞💥
