Sunny Mania, Dark Depression

HomePoetrySunny Mania, Dark Depression

I do not know anymore

if you are dead or alive.

Your moonlit face, no more

can I recognize!

Your eyes are twin suns arisen,

sometimes manic, sometimes depressed.

Hibernating beneath your eyelids,

over your nightscape a brilliant aurora!

As manic as the midnight sun,

as depressed as polar nights.

Mania beneath the sun,

depression-induced nights.

Flames in your eyes cease to flash,

the coals smoldering to an alpenglow.

Tears thick with ash,

my spirit desists to glow!

Emotions never cease burning,

the voices never stop screaming,

delusions never cease deceiving,

hallucinations never stop blinding!
