inside the stellar rain I wait
glorious pain turns my colors crimson
a steady thrumming of pain
readying itself for survival
sanctity in my hollow places
where I can slow down and see
peoples of a parched nature looking at me
sullen fate in the need of the day
feeling my love seep through my soul
it is with great interest I view the world
feeling so deeply of humanity
the suffering of our spirits
the body aches with pain
empathy for our sisters and brothers
if you are hungry my stomach grumbles
your equal part mine to share
on good days and bad
the opression out there breaks over us like a tide
seeking to take us under
my heart extends a hand to you whoever you may be
from a place of hurt of my own
my faith is shining its light for you alone
