Rope-a-Dopamine

Summary:
I try my best to write beautifully & eloquently, but that ol' xenomorph gotta come bursting outta there eventually. It's one of the reasons I avoid dinner parties and business luncheons. My addiction to solitude might be a problem, actually lol. The hunting-horrors are Nyarlathotep's, of course.

Days of daze, dancing din,
worn-out welcomes track in flesh
hunting-horrors on dog-eared wings
to (nightly) tingle my dribbling brain…

I am buried ‘neath the skin
on the outside-in
as I cover the site with alien light

a xenolithic burst
from my heart opaque…

glaze of gin, gushing blaze,
welling welcomes wear-out flesh
shrieks on wireless chimera wings
that (nightly) tingling brim of space

I have married to this buzz
with my topside ease
as husband to the wrath on heavenly path

a restorative hope
from the grope of time…

clash of weeks, months of nerve,
worn-out phrases wearing mind
sorceries sing ‘pon angel wings
to (nightly) tingle my spine sublime

I am carried on the wind
from the inside-out
as I gather the rain with gradual pain

a din of dreams dancing
on my days of daze…

ancient throes
that call my brains

home

{…that (nightly) tingling edge of grace}

    1. Okay, this took me a minute to break down. In the beginning, you give me an archaeologist digging up an Egyptian site, but then you put the chimera in, and that’s Greek. So that put me on pause.
So I came to settle on this poem is about the Gods. (I could be absolutely bonkers with this one) Good piece.

      • Supernatural entities think they can create situations where they can feed on our thoughts & emotions through mindless entertainment and misleading media, not to mention religious and political corruptions that create a culture of authoritarianism through false scarcity and fearmongering….and they are right!

I got my crime shows and horror flicks at the push of a button for approximately an hour every night…voila, dopamine city! It really is sorcery, which I try to seek in the mundane everyday shit we take for granted. Our minds don’t register certain things as magic because they are commonplace to us. This technology we use….it is true wizardry thru n thru!

Thank you for that observation! Very helpful.
