No answers – yet. Am waiting for Rodge the postie to arrive. Good – clock’s ticking into the day – hooray! Just grabbed the glass milk bottle from the doorstep. Can see the milkie’s oops a daisy slip! (can someone be sued for having English rain in early September when the world is said to be warming?) ‘Assume ‘warm’ and ‘rain’ sing in a choir! (Some choir!)
Have time to brush hair, make a hot chocolate and a honey sarnie, open the window and look out onto the green I’ll never own but – proud to say, is mine.
Girls’ nite tonight with three nursey friends, all deliberately mean to me because I don’t know a hypodermic from a thick, finely pointed needle used on thin leather this and that slipper under-soles
Have fed and gently shoved lady-dog into the wet somewhat fresh air which is said to be good for all living creatures. Yes,Madame, will be in a mood all day. But then – what’s new. That said, she quite likes me because she can’t use the tin-opener!
Land phone just rung. That means lady down the road around the corner needs a little shopping. If I wasn’t quite fond of her, wouldnt have answered. Won’t be running or cycling down to the garage shop.(Could add the cost of gas – evil smile!)
A great many people will have been up since five. Yes, have been awake all night. But not the same as a hard-working-whatever-weather-an- agricultural worker has to suffer to earn a crust. Plus, at least we all have standing homes to return to…
The end… for now. Have a good day. Please very much.

Very much please indeed. Such fun to read your clever and lighthearted slice of the morning.
Happy me to have connected. Be well Emma 🙂
Many thanks Jim.. wrote that whilst still asleep – probably shows! However being an admitted scribbler I go with the flow.
Joy,
From what I know, this sounds like you, your life, your time, your place… all of it full of quiet beauty…
