Rhythm of Cello Bow

Bookmark
HomePoetryRhythm of Cello Bow

The wood of cello’s bow clinging,
with the rhythm of a coffin’s nail,
knocking bone to bone…
Echoing that I am coming,
before the screaming,
of my departed soul.

  1. The bow scratching across the strings mimicking a hammer pounding the nail. The dark of the coffin; the escape from this life to somewhere else…Incredibly dark and spooky. I get a real haunting vibe out of this. As though walking down a cloudy road next to a cemetery and hearing a scream, yet seeing nothing. Only silence. Awesome poem!
