Daydreams

Cluttered with memories of almost too much, my world is mine and – happy, happy!

I well remember your body making shadows on the wall, fingers playing ivories towards my laughter.  Strange man you but wonderful: such a great rabbit’s ears wiggler!  Earlier  you’d limbo-danced ’til you yelled, ‘I’m in agony!’  The barman, by then a friend – called out something than suggested the remainder of our night would be more static! Ha!  He had no idea of your energy or the magic influences of a new moon  and its guidance in a place where voodoo was both friend and enemy.  That night had filled space with multitudinous stars,  Sampsonic giants compared with the spit and spark of our present fire pit!  From that moment, magician you would push aside my hair, lay bare my neck then tell me of our future adventure – oh so wicked!

Years before he’s bounced up to me in the foyer of our mutual workplace,

‘ Hello, I’m a stranger so feel free to call me whatever you like.’

   ‘ Dynamo?  Cheerio?  Wotsit?’

‘I want to take you home, get to know you.  Your lips are full, beautifully full –  bet they taste delicioso.’

‘Stop trying to impress me.  Be yourself or something like – surely you know a rose is a rose is a rose.. ‘

    .. ..

(I still write a journal. Written one since I was thirteen!  Oh the stories I could tell one day. Who knows, there might be a bestseller deep inside me.  Many’s the mind that’s laid dormant for years then – out of the blue,  let open the door to one of the most exciting lives ever filmed!

Now  I know why I love you. We used to laugh at our differences, feed each other as if teens on their second date plus learn how to kiss without drowning each other!  Your hands followed a different route every time.  At first I’d laugh but quickly learned to moan  because there was no stopping it,  From our shared crushed pillow, would look up,  see how your usual pale face flushed like an innocent’s!  Sweaty droplets were here and there too. I wanted to wipe them away but – was otherwise busy!  That was US.

One day you left our small one bedroomed terrace house.  Well, it wasn’t really ours but both had vicarious imaginations in those days!  Yes,  you remembered just how to reach you peak a second after I had mine. Every pulse overflew, we followed each other’s path, sans slip to reach our destination,   sez I smiling. True as I lie here,  you were king of every road. My body is tingling at the thought of you.

Passion, love and desire are  what makes the world circle on its own axis –  turning, twirling, spinning, flying, sipping, roaring, dipping!  No, am not a subtle creature!

……

‘Now, my darling, which would you prefer, a coffee, a cuddle or – now we’re somewhat  adult – one of those naughty words!?!?

    1. It reads like whirlwind romance tangled up in finer details. “Fingers playing ivories towards my laughter” carries a poetic notion within the telling of story and fantastic reality. He’s a lucky man to have you and you’re lucky to have this strange man in return! Compellingly positive….

    2. Joy,
You know, live wears many different costumes, and is a quick-change artist, too. In the sensory overload of 21st century life, it seems an impossibility to stop long enough to see anything, really. When was the last time you knew of a new “painted lady house?” No, todays houses are all little boxes because no one has the time for beauty, any more.

      • Vol, many thanks for your detailed response, it is much appreciated. I love butterflies, consequently provide for them and winged everything, best as possibly can. Have added cool areas virtually N.S.E and West on my land. As a garden designer and keen environmentalist, I aim to protect rather than harm or hurt any living creature.

    3. It is refreshing to see new “voices” in here. Yours is quite entertaining and I like how it isn’t routine anything. I read a few of your writes, to get an idea of what the author is about. You’re top notch.

    4. Many thank yous for such a generous review, truly mean that. Must admit, I write as I think – randomly! Obviously a little editing is done but probably not enough – but I try.

The topnotch will do very nicely and is much appreciated. But, the pressure’s on now!!! 🙂
