Him

Summary:
romance, sorrow
contemplating my sorrow, wondering from whence it came
forgotten memories push to be heard, then retreat into the mists
a dream sequence, I try to follow through the dark
only to be lost right after I see him

His beautiful face and the immediate safety I feel near him
coax the sacredness of the moment, before he fades just out of reach
bitter tears wept in remembrance of a life that once was

An immortal sent far away from my fated
coming so close then lost on the universal highway
spinning in the energy, I wonder does he yet live

a silent vow, I utter, I will never give up
With a fresh resolve, I follow him into the void
Surely someone has seen him

discouraged by the empty faces of mirth
happy with a pittance
Were I so blind, it would be mercy
But a piece of my soul is missing
all else is a distraction

disturbing the aether, I search
Then, just like that, I forget myself
falling into sadness’s arms again
