covering myself with shadows I move quietly
so not to disturb the restless spirits
the ones that reside in my soul
anger, sadness and melancholy
each with feelings of their own
my soul carefully listens to them with a heaviness of being
when they are unhappy I hear about it
sacred trust anger rises
he is the bully that comes when all reasonable voices silence
melancholy's blue turns indigo and she is beside herself with grief
anger takes her under his wing
with indignation she shelters in his shade
while sadness mends the rift
I am sad within and I'm lapsing into depression
sacred art to push through it
colors of solace are produced
by the sanctity of self
with dignity my emotions conduct themselves
a resolve to keep going forward helps me mend
focusing my energies
my hopes though dashed have not fled me
keeping tight to my dreams I walk into the future
my feelings intact because they are a part of me

Hugely complex piece and I love the pic. I like how you use color to reflect emotion. Some great alliteration in this piece and the rare use of personification as well. It highlights the inner struggle as the body continues to persevere. Deep, tantalizing, thought provoking.
