the deadness of the moment paused, the obsurdity of his bitter stare
it was then I felt it coming manical laughter
there was just nothing there
no, not anymore
blackbirds flew and stars blaze out leaving nothing but smoke
caress a feeling long enough, it will change with time
worn thin in areas
hardened spots now soft to the touch
masochistic still I try
rewardless feeling, the empty
resist the urge to flee
it is with great hesitation I go on
love has not fade
surprises never fail
is it so bad to just be happy
thrilling can get you in trouble
satisfy the feeling and live dangerously
have chocolate ice cream instead of strawberry

me being a glutton for all things chocolate, (I even put it in my coffee= mocha), I was drawn to your write. I love the underlying angst within the write. It carries a darker mix to the sentences. Brooding but not overwhelming. Awesome job with it, Brenda.
hello dearest Styxian thank you graciously this is only true in part ❤️
Beautifully penned, Brenda. Another excellent write full of layers my friends. Amazing read as always. Appreciate you.
