External Examination:
Well nourished, well developed male, with several scars across the body, which appear to be a form of tribal marking. There are multiple fractures of the skull from a Blade Rifle blast, part of the brain cavity missing. Blast wounds on the left calf, right bicep, and stomach.
Final Diagnosis:
Specimen Alpha received a shot of super-heated metal to the head. The shot was the cause of death.
Morphometric analysis:
The cranium is similar in shape to the Homo-erectus of Earth. The brain is much larger almost twice the size of a human brain.
Brain Autopsy:
The brain appears to have atrophied in many places. After carbon dating a sample of the brain matter, we can speculate that most of Specimen Alpha’s brain died off over hundred years ago. The active parts of the brain that were recovered allow us to speculate that only its basic functions such as: breathing, eating, foraging, and sleeping were possible. The prognosis: the brain has deteriorated due to excessive age but remained functional; the younger brain may have been as advanced as a human’s, possibly more so.
Epidermis:
The skin is much thicker than our own. When tested against intense UVB, it absorbed the light without damage. The skin may have an adrenal healing system able to absorb direct sunlight without damage. When tested with water it acted like a reptilian barrier. Water absorption was 0.00001 barely noticeable, and after the water was removed the skin was unchanged.
Respiratory Organs:
There are four lungs and one heart. They appeared to be similar to the mammals of earth. When opened two of the lungs were filled with fluid. The prognosis: the second set of lungs can operate underwater like fish gills. Specimen Alpha appears to be able to breathe just as well under water as it can in the open air.
Digestive Organs:
There are three stomachs. The digestive sacks displayed three stages of leafy decomposition before the matter entered the intestines. Like the cattle of Earth, Specimen Alpha appears to be able to digest tough oxalate rich plant matter.
Reproductive Organs:
Four testicles and a large ball tipped penis. Their reproductive practices may be similar to the mammals of earth.
Final Statement:
Specimen Alpha appears to be at the end of its life cycle. We can speculate that a younger specimen may be able to communicate with us should it wish to. They possess more than enough brain capacity. They appear to be amphibious and may choose to live deep inside ponds and lakes. They are taller and stronger than we are. They have adapted to this planet well. We must approach them with caution.
