Over And Over

Summary:
A poem about survival. Repetition.

Sometimes,it feels like it’s the same thing all over again.
Sleep,eat and endure life’s game.
Days often feel all the same.

Sleep,eat,work and repeat.
To survive in life is certainly a feat.
Do I keep going or admit defeat?

Life’s a game,and the rules,they vary.
Live,grow up and eventually marry.
But sometimes days all feel the same.

The same plans,schedules.
So I play by life’s game.
When I wake up,I go and eat.

Fix my hair,brush my teeth.
And I try to survive and do a feat.
Over and over,I try and compromise.

I look into the mirror once again, looking into my brown eyes.
And it brings me to days I wasn’t wary.
Eyes,brown and young.

And no burdens to carry.
And so I try to sleep once again.
I remind myself of the weekly schedule.

When I should do this or that, and how to distract myself.
Knowing it might be all the same.
But I have my hobbies, passions, and that keeps me going.

The brown in his eyes flowing.
And each word he says,my hope keeps growing.
Despite the repetition,I make a composition.

And tell myself to keep hopeful.
On days quiet or gloomy.
I have things and friends that keep me blooming.

And then repetition comes again.
Each day similiar to the next.
It feels like I am behind, and eventually have to leave the bird’s nest.

Rest soothes me,distracts me.
And when I awake,I keep on going.
All over again.

Always playing the same game called “”life””.
And we try our best to survive.
Over and over, some days I spend alone.

Yet I keep hopeful about a better tomorrow.
This repetition brings emptiness.
So I chase away the sorrow.
