You lied to me.
You told me you were my friend.
I believed you were godsend
A lover, not hell bend
On destroying me.
You tricked me.
You told me we would be together.
I believed we would be forever
A couple, not the devil
Bent on killing me.
You used me.
You told me I was pretty.
I believed you were my deity
A goddess, not an exquisitely
Talented hell bound Banshee.
You hurt me.
You told me all those lies.
I believed your crying eyes
A trickster, even the sighs
Uttered had deceived me.
What will you do to me?
Now that I’m in your hands.
I don’t believe you have plans
A damned soul, who only stands
To loose if you loose me.
What do you see in me?
Now that my heart is yours.
I don’t believe you kept scores
A winner, who won the wars
A looser who finally lost me.

Hey Sam.
Loved the structure of this. The poem is great but there was movement too.
I love those kind of writes.
I like how you transitioned to questions towards the end.
Spectacularly done amigo!
Powerfully penned, Sam. Excellent write with amazing storytelling my friend. Nicely done. Appreciate you.
