We Are Not Machines

HomePoetryWe Are Not Machines
Summary:
Here is the 7th poem. I want everyone to remember that we are doing this for fun. When it feels like pressure to complete, then stop. We are pressured every day. This should not be one of them

Do not worry
if you shall fall and forget.
Tomorrow always comes.
What’s most important is that you try.
It’s a shame that we forget that everything that we do
starts off with a person just trying.

The stark white of the page
Uninspired
Stop
Breathe
Occupy space inside with other things

Return unpressured
Take inspiration from the stark white page
Write about the emptiness of it
Write about how it mocks you with its purity

Death of words are not shroud in black
That is a false notion
The words you seek were never given life
Nulla= non exsisstant

We are not machines
We are humans, with complex thoughts
We forget. We created words
Meaningful, playful, sorrowful and nonsensical

Do not compete with time.
We made that up too
Instead, just
Be

    1. Oh girl, you stirred up some inspiration with this one! When the joy in the doing gives out, put down the pen until it comes again. This is the kind of message needed these days.

    2. And with each new day, creative opportunity is always promised…for the taking if so inclined. If we were machines, the concepts of emotion and feeling would be obsolete. Without those, there is no expression.

    3. hello veautiful Fia I used to get choked up because I though everything I wrote had to be great then later I realized I wasn’t blocked I was in my own way… this is very encouraging ❤️

    4. Powerfully penned, Fia. Into the book it belongs! Outstanding write my friend. Every writer can relate to this one, we’ve all been there, it’s part of the journey I believe. Nicely done. Appreciate you, Cuz.
