Love’s always been a tricky concept for me to articulate. The moment it depends on reasons, it stops being love and turns into an exchange, something that lasts only as long as the reasons do.Ask your partner why they love you. If they start listing things, your smile, your sense of humour, your body, then what they’re describing is affection with conditions attached. And conditions shift. Smiles fade, bodies change, moods come and go.
When asked, if they just shrug and say, “I don’t know, I just do,” that’s something else entirely. That’s love without logic or motive. Maybe that’s the only kind that isn’t going anywhere because it’s unconditional.

Powerfully penned, Peter. Interesting observation my friend with some solid points as well. Nicely done. Appreciate you.

Now that is a thought to ponder on. If they shrug it is unconditional love. very interesting
