Summary:
National poetry month 1. Mine will be a eulogy/lament/or whatever to all things European. If you’ve travelled...well, then you know. Away for some of April, so won’t be a month’s worth of tatty scribbles. Still can’t view or reply to comments – I'm many things, but don’t consider lack of commenting as rudeness or ignorance.

One more reason to give up on God

and the Marilyn Monroe tattoo upon her thigh

would peel from her skin…laughing

Begging for mercy

horror’caust and what price desire

when her purse is empty?

So far, so fast, so fierce

singing ‘auf wiedersehen’

to the last of the international Berlin brothels

Him and her forever

like diamonds, forever,

but the hand which rocked

her cradle is still bruised

and this is why…

The man of her dreams

is sad and all alone

but her final reason is

the line of coke on dusty bookshelf

    1. Dear R,

This for me, makes me think of all the relationships that want desperately to succeed but are doomed from the start. Especially the ones fueled by addiction. The edgy gritty feel throughout this write is relatable for anyone trapped inside this carousel nightmare. I like the dark fast pace of this write. H 🌷
