We walked the path, feet in unison but denim and cotton hips side-stepping in case they touched
Our laughter hid the rumble of stones slipping and sliding from the mound to our right as if lonesome for their left
As always must, birds were singing, inspiring a musical four step from two silly adults behaving like children
A distance away smoke spiralled a grey-tiled roof as if a being’s signal to come rest beside its sibling hearth
Suddenly you stopped, turned me towards me and whispered, ‘I do, do you?’ This path was our stage.
No cue needed, we kissed but briefly, breast against chest, before near skipping apart, yet again – laughing!
Seems reciprocation was our eleventh commandment, one of the treasured few that meant more than..
