Look what I see when I close my eyes
I see this web hidden in disguise
Behind the eyelids it likes to hide
Let’s look deeper what’s inside
A spectrum of the spider’s web
Thoughts determine my mind’s ebb
I look to see where they will lead
This is a colorful wicked web indeed
Am I the spider do you know
Creating this intricate trap for show
Thinking I had all the power
Strength and will, consume, devour
In this web I’m intertwined
The victim of an imprisoned mind
Just a game for them to play
I’m not the spider but it’s prey
Tangled in the web of deceit
Another day rinse wash repeat
Feeling trapped I seek escape
But the pedipalps control my fate
I work all day just to supplement
And feed the greed of the government
The media spreads it’s venomous lies
Injecting us just to paralyze
Our minds begin to be untrapped
With willingness to learn we adapt
With eyes wide open we now realize
Starve the spider and destroy its lies
