Born and raised under her wings
Protection and care, has always been
Everything his mother said he believed
Mother encouraged him, she was often pleased
A few times, he would get himself into a jam
She would always solve it, lend him a hand
As he grew older, he had a successful career
Living across the country, he wasn’t so near
One day he received a call, it was from his Aunt
He was told to come back home, she began to rant
She told him that his mother is hospitalized and she’s very sick
He took the next flight out, losing his job was a risk
When he arrived, he couldn’t believe what he saw
Wires and tubes throughout, he kneeled onto the floor
He took her limp hand, looked at her and began to prey
He made a promise that he’ll never leave her side, until her final day
Sadly, there wasn’t much more the doctors could do
The cause of death was being allergic to Honey Roasted Cashews
The ones he sent her as a gift on Christmas Day
He was the cause of her passing away
Sometimes that’s the way the cookie (or in this case the cashew) crumbles.

Thats destatingly sad! I can imagine him wrecked both mind and heart. Good one.
Totally wrecked. Thanks my friend.
Unapologetically penned, Keith. Outstanding write my friend. Dr. Seuss vibes.. lol. That is heavy irony indeed. See you still got that amazing curveball brother. Nicely done. Appreciate you.

Curve balls, sliders, fast balls. There all coming everyone’s way…Look out! Thanks Damian.
Sometimes you see you did mistake the last moment and its too late to make vows you will be to stand on word. We never realise until the last moment. But in that case i am fortunate because I never got lose of people I got second chance to be with them more than I can destined. So also i never lose people when they miss me I do care more than me.
