Static radio gives me the shakes
Sensitive to light, my belly aches
Red holes infected my suspicious leg
Green water mucus as baby Jesus loves to beg
Pill popping dope creates a milk dud of a man
The white swans turn black, sacrifice the lamb
Ask for a ride and you won’t find
Wheels have no fortune, life is suicide
Cancerous objects, indeed are lethal
X-Ray’s of your rectum, images on her easel
1 month to die, 1 month to live
Make down your mind, maggots forgive
The hog & pig dance as September comes to a close
Hatred is heaven as hell has so many pros
The walls open in as your mind is tossed away
Cysts & stones will destroy your bones
My heart & soul have eroded & decayed

That’s frikin awesome ⭐

Glad you enjoyed Damian. Thanks!!
It reads like a song. I enjoy the lyrical quality and the way the rhyme and cadence propel the reader through this brutal inventory of sickness and despair. It has the perfect structure for a darkly beautiful rock ballad.
Cool. Love the description you wrote. Thanks Romaj.
This is brilliant, dear Keith – the imagery, the use of opposites and the meaningful words! The end of September is the beginning of a new and pretty dark season. Yes it is all letting go, decay and death. But nature shows us how to die with dignity and grace. Birth and death belong to the same circle of life. Hope guides us through the valley of shadows until we reach the light again.
A lovely comment Elke. Thank you.
I love nursery rhymes. Waiting for more!
Thanks Paulo. You rock!
