Interesting option. To burn or never be lit
Thanks for reading. You got it. It’s hard to only burn half of your match.

James
hello James this is intesting I would rather feel the flame of life I think… to know even once cold I will rise as smoke great write ❤️
Thank you for your kind words. Its hard to stop the fire once your alight. Momentarily extinguising yourself for another day.

James
Both sides are a sad endeavor. To burn out or to never have felt the flame of life.
An enjoyable poem, Knight.
Thanks for your kind words. I agree there isn’t a happy middle in this scenario.

James
I’d rather burn.
To yearn for something you’ve never had the experience of is agonizing. To not have the experience of enjoying life to the fullest? Not for me.
I totally agree, having burned many times. The thought of never going for it and playing safe every time is more terrifying to me.

James

Some burn bright as others are content I suppose. Great ink.
Yes, I guess there’s always more to it. Those who burn fast, those who burn slow, and some never know the fire, but never miss it.
