Stress encircled her eyes.
When any hope was hopeless
and light-years away,
she opened her dresser drawer.
Beneath lengthy
pharmacy referrals
and exponential
credit card bills
the black metal trigger resembled
the color of a raven.
At the speed of light
and with enough energy
to cross the expanse of space,
it made her weightless;
a heavenly body.
Her universe transformed
as skull fragments exploded
like stardust escaping
a black hole.

No, hope, could not find a way out of everything.
Sadly no. Thanks for the comment, Fia.
It is sad but you ended it with a bang. I love that you used the word stardust!
Even though she was tortured, you made her sparkle at the end.
Well done!
Nice observation Adelly. Thank you for the comment. 🙂
Powerfully penned, Tim. Not every write has a happily ever after. Excellent write my friend. Appreciate you.

I’m glad you liked it. Thanks Damian. 🙂
Tim, this was softly explosive. Like a dream that comes true in a dark and sad way. Exquisitely written my friend.
