Tears rain down from the heavens
Guided missiles used as weapons
Desperately trying to warn us
Losing our faith and lacking trust
The storm is raging as we self destruct
The fire from his tears begins to erupt
Our greed and lust for consumption
Warnings ignored, volcanic eruptions
Countries invaded so we can plunder
Lightning flashes and roaring thunder
Dollar signs hide in oil reserves
Also a distraction from other concerns
Power and control, an unquenchable thirst
All under the guise of America first
As we continue to ignore God’s decree
The winds scowl with extreme speed
Hurricanes and tornadoes accelerate
Destruction caused by our own hate
Lack of caring and compassion
Empathy eliminated by a selfish assasin
Our values and morals quickly landslide
All thats left is an emptiness inside
A place where love used to fill our soul
God is angry because we lost control

We as humans should care about the environment and each other but it seems that caring about the environment and each other is not our priority. It’s a shame.
I agree..we should..but we do not value whats important..only what we consume..and the values we grew up with seem long gone
Great polemic no doubt regarding the recent US attack on Venezuela.
I can’t accept that the bulk of American citizens would still vote for Trump and his Court Jesters.
To be fair, Trump is only the puppet.The puppet masters are the unelected, neo fascist multinational corporations running all western democracies.
While I agree the unelected neo facists are the corporations running the western democracy and they feed the war machine because it generates a ton of money for themselves and their ppl..I do worry there are still many Americans that will support trump and his jesters no matter what..no matter what actions or evidence is presented to them their opinions dont change..I don’t know what the tipping scale is for Trump supporters but I dont think we are there..unfortunately..its scary knowing more chaos lies ahead
Politics aside, this is a well written poem with great flow and a spot on message. I can sense your urgency within it. But you didn’t lose control. Well done.
