I am Me, a vampiri of the Nosferatu order
We are a symbiotic being, needing a host to fill our orders
We crawled up through the bowels of hell into this cave
Preying upon bats, wolves, and anything living in order to be saved

To my surprise Vlad stumbled into my cave one day injured from the battlefield
Slashes and stabs covered his body, his armor gouged by steel
He fell to the cave floor and as he laid dying I heard his pleas
He only wished death upon his enemies and my appearance brought him to his knees

With promises of aiding in his revenge, I approached and entered his being
Forcing my way down his throat, healing him inside to out things unseen
We became one animal sharing all of our many experiences in life
He learned the powers of the darkness and I learned of taking a human life

Later that night fully restored and the both of us moving as one
We exited our cave and the legend of Dracula had begun
I could smell Vlad’s enemies as they slept on the opposite side of the hill
With a sword in each hand and swiftly running, we entered the thrill

We transformed as we ran with the strength and speed of the wolves that we ate
With the emotions of Vlad, we entered their camp filled with nothing but hate
Wielding two swords and taking on all comers as the blood ran and sprayed
Hahaha, even those that ran prayed that they had stayed

Arms hacked off at the shoulders, as heads were loped off
Hearts were ripped out of chest, bitten into and then tossed
Hahaha we both love this shit, him loving being amplified
And Me, I love the blood, the pain, and the screams when a human die

As sleeping humans tried to wake from their drunken stupors
The way that Vlad plunged his sword through them like a super trooper
Abdomens slashed, disemboweled, as I drank my fill
The bats are flying about ripping and shredding in this kill

Vlad is following my hunger, burning and impaling them while still living
Enemies are slowly descending atop impaling poles is life and fear giving
After telling our troops to be prepared to march as soon as it’s night
We selected a few of our enemies and entered our cave before the first rays of daylight

    1. I can read your darkness. Somehow you make gore justified. I don’t know how you do that, but you do. I have a very hard time reading dark poetry, especially this time of year, but never yours. Thank you for that.
You make that flow glow, as usual.

      • We love the smell of fresh turnt soil, it’s yummy. We try to stay away from the dark pieces although they are truly easier. But they place us in a very dark place and we still have to deal. Thanks Lady
