Community isn’t always…or often even…made of blood. It’s the souls who welcome each other no matter what they look like or how different they may be. Blood may be thicker than water, but toxic blood is lethal. I don’t believe in fitting in. I believe in filling the space destined only for you and standing side by side with others doing the same. Nobody else has the ability to be you. Or me. I’m glad you found support and compassion, Brenda. It’s very important 🧡

You are so right that we are on the same wavelength. That last line “What’s given can be taken away.”

I understand it does hurt…as far as UFO’s think of this we are all related if you think of space as the life’s blood and the stars and planets are the womb…I believe we have relatives all over the place…I do worry for out future though…I also believe we will not see these other beings homes until we are better evolve sometimes I channel these beings they are alarmed at our behavior cos a ripple can make a wave all throughout space thank you dearest poet for sharing your thoughts ❤️

First, I hope you had a fantastic and soul-filling birthday. I have read this one 3 times now. I finish, sigh, scroll back up and read it again. It sinks into the mental marrow and stirs thoughts. You are a master of layers, my friend. I’m glad this one bubbled out of the “not yet” vault. It needed sunlight and shadows on its bones

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with the write my friend. It was a good birthday overall, played some piano, talked to J.J. Burton, and spent time with the wife and kids. Thank you for the b-day wishes. I definitely write in layers, probably because everything I observe has layers, including myself and humans in general. I come by it naturally I guess. lol. The “not yet” section has tons of writes in it, although some need work or at the very least a tweak or two. Always enjoy your commentary my friend. Appreciate you.

Captivating and intriguing piece.
You’ve got me hooked from the start. I was drawn to this by its title.
Strong choice of words. Exquisite in its own way.
A bold and daring read. x

Damian this song on mortality and the grim reaper was one of your very best. The sheer lyrical strength was formidable here. I loved every roaring line. You really made this come alive for me. I am amazed.

Thank so much for reading and your kind words, John. So glad you connected with the write my friend. I’m amazed after 35 summers of doing this writing thing I haven’t lost my love for the craft. I’ve had ups and downs sure, if I were to ever lose that love then I might have something to worry about. lol. Enjoyed your commentary. Appreciate you.

“Built a foundation on a fault line” I think this is a just as good if not a more accurate description that old adage of built on quick sand, because with a fault line, at any minute of any day, a quake opens up and swallows things up quick.
Great work here Damian.
