    The Whisky shot

Okay, Renee, The next shot is the whiskey shot. And I’m telling you, I’m feeling the waves of danger rolling off him over here.” Elene said. Looking over her shoulder at him.“ Your feeling the waves?” I said, smiling...

    The Birth of Opals

The Birth of Opals Upon my very word I did once marvel at the seeming birth of opals all along the very subtle curve of her naked back and thighs .. And how within their fiery glow they did so very much resemble the...

    • “She was there until she was gone”—Butterflies are free, like in the old seventies film.
And women are free as well, they may lite upon our branch for a few seconds…but we must not try to hold them.
They will come back if they wish.
Like this poem a lot, Neville.

    • My dad had to work two jobs as a kid during the depression because his dad had died and he had to support his mom.
This is intense but also beautiful lyrically.
Reminds me of the film The Grapes of Wrath.

The Joad family…”I’ll be there Ma, yeah, I’ll be there!”

      • That’s where the idea came from. I read the book many years ago. Your dad was a courageous person. No wonder why you turned out so well. Thanks for the comment, J.

    • I liked how you discussed this. Looking through one person’s point of view and I could see it.

    • Powerfully penned, Tim. Excellent write my friend. Appreciate you.

    Mother's Hushed Eyes

Passages of my childhood arise within my mother’s death gaze, bringing reminiscences of olden days. In childhood, we would speak in silent gaze. No mother left to envision me now, now within those quiet eyes. You have gone away oh, dear mother, let the...
