    The Art

The sun was high in the sky, beating down on my back as I laced up my sneakers. That was when I looked up as he walked past me, wearing skintight track shorts. The kind that left nothing to...

    • Haha. Got to love those flirtatious moments. I also agree it needed the profanity. Not that I’m big on censorship anyway.

      Great ink

    • Holiday romances in far off destinations make the world go round and generally a much happier place .. if only briefly .. two weeks would be tops for me now .. Hell, it doesn’t even need to be a faraway place these days .. anywhere beyond the garden gate would be just fine .. I dunno whether todays offering is a product of a wickedly well primed imagination .. or whether these events genuinely happened .. either way, it doesn’t matter, I applaud your frankness & originality .. Kind regards, Neville

    • A sizzling, playful scene full of tension and wit. The narrator’s boldness and the flirtatious back-and-forth make this a fun, electric read.

    • Tremendous work. Powerful.

    • Passionately penned, Fia. Always love your storytelling my friend, excellent write. Appreciate you, cuz.

    • Hoi hoi
You know that I am a fan of your for DUP’s ago.
And I won’t/don’t want to bagatelize (or what’s it spelled) the other one walking away, but how about envying the back pockets?

I lured à very lovely person in writing such a poem (lyrics) and it dried up very well.
Maybe it’ll be a possibility to retaliate???

Other than that à lovely write. What’s this with this à all the time?
You’re the sharp person. I’m not your fan for nothing!
      Warmest greetings from Gus

      • Hi,Duhsjaak, I will lay off the “a”‘s. This is an old story, but I wanted to share it. Thank you;))

    • The brave and bold flirting is fun to read, although this old fuddy-duddy was always too shy to carry on that way. Nice that she told him right out that she was married. Sexual attraction is part of us and I don’t think you can make it go away. (I certainly haven’t stopped noticing the girls. Heh-Heh!)

    • Oh, that was excellent. How nice to read something that is what it is and does not have to apologize for it. I could absolutely see this entire encounter,

    • Very nice interaction, did this really happen?
If so, did you make the call? So many questions attached to this
      creative piece. Thank you

    • Oh this was seduction writing at its finest. The dialogue grabbed me and held me there like the best encounter with a woman I have ever had. This really rocked big time. You have the dialogue down perfectly. My attention was riveted. And there were surprises around every turn in the dialogue. The suspense of what would happen next had me completely enthralled., Great storytelling. You had me stimulated beyond belief just by the dialogue alone with no graphic depictions just the prospect of the bedroom affair.

    Take down your flag

Take down your flags of England Take down your union jack These people fled to safety Now you wanna send them back  Take down your flags of England Take down your union jack Your nation gave you nothing Now you wanna give it back

    • I’ve heard of the disturbance there. I always think of the rock bands I listened to from there and I wonder what they must think.

      • Thanks. I have a new recording and an evolving song. Check new link above.

The UK is insane most of the time.

        Regards James

        • It sounds pretty good. Really nice chords too.

          • Thanks. Its real. Thats all anyone can ask. If you play or sing you have to give it everything.
            Regards

    • I have a close friend who lives near London and she keeps me posted on the shite that is going on over there with the new regime…kind of like what is happening here.
I still love this country, but feel like it is being taken away from us with greed for power.
      j.

      • I agree. Everything is going mad all over the world. But it’s always been this way.
        Thanks for reading

        Regards James

    • Fly the Union flag high and the cross of St George. We must be the only country in the world that allows every other flag to be flown yet we are made to feel ashamed of our own. Very topical piece says this patriotic poet.

      Chris

      • Our flags mean different things to different people. The history of the empire, neo nazi groups etc. but I think many people have been failed by England. So why fly a flag of a nation that doesn’t give a shit if you have to self yourself for money and freeze to death etc.

        Thanks for reading

        Regards James

    • I’m with Christine Shaw (Chris) to the letter .. there’s shite everywhere but don’t believe everything you hear these days it’s hard to differentiate between so called artificial intelligence and the twisted minds of those who just like stirring up trouble .. There are also a lot of dimwits that believe everything they are currently being force fed through fear of being singled out and sadly made an example of ..

      • I think it’s very similar to 1920s Germany.

It begins with flags and ends with murder.

        Thanks for reading

        Regards James

    • We seem to share a similar view on that score .. Take care .. Neville

    The Sound of Silence

It does not begin, it does not end. Never hear it start, never hear it stop.   Ceaseless, present at every moment. This inner sound - an object of sense.   With willpower we dominate, breathing at our will. Whereas we are subordinate to the sound of silence.   An entity you cannot dominate, but...
