    Something I've Become

Dark days and bright nights. That's the life of a sorrowful poet.  Away from the darkening daylight... into the light of the night I rejoice! Night owl, indeed!  I've risen like the full moon and descended like the sun. My soul bleeds ink onto the page. And...

    • hello dearest Daniel I feel you on this one great write 💕

      • Brenda, my writing is getting more sorrowful, I feel. Darker, not depressingly, but hauntingly beautiful. You know me by now, I ramble in comments, haha. Nearly four months off my medication now. My writing has evolved somehow recently, I can’t explain it. Thanks Brenda.

    • Sometimes we express ourselves with a cloak of darkness, but there’s usually a deep feeling heart behind it.
Thank you for sharing a small part of your world.

    • Powerfully penned, Daniel. Your writes have layers and depth my friend. Appreciate you.

    Our Gothic Love

Two hearts, both alike in rhythm, share a tomb - a tomblike existence, indeed! While our meetings are forbidden!A place where no one will suspect us.And within this tomb we share lips.

She Pinched Each Candleflame One By One

It was slow, agonizingly slow! When every candleflame that showshow you pulse with spirit and life,is pinched out by the very fingersof someone who once loved you! Love lost brought a cold, dark wick. Some smoke still sputters in defiance!Could that...

    • Cleverly penned, M.E. This is a very witty write my friend, amazing work. Appreciate you.

    • Very creative. Excellent work.

    • This poem kicks so much ass! I love it! Offbeat, strange, smart, violent..you! I can see this becoming a film. Extraordinary creativity here.

    • Hmm, no one was wounded, you say. Cupid was shot. lol this is good;)

      • I did say that. Its just like movies, when they say that no animal was harmed during the making of this film and then someone shoot a dog or sth, and then some guy chase him and kill him with a f*ing pencil or something like that. To get an action franchise.
I am talking too much. Cupid is a piece of shit in here. And he got what he f*ing deserve.

        Lol. Thank you, Fia! “)

    • You made my day with your sweet comment. I am glad you liked it. Thank you! “)

    • This is the first and only piece of yours I have read so far. I must admit, I am intrigued. I stumbled upon you only because you were online (so few are at one time, I have found). But I like it very much; you made me smile with your shots at Cupid, and oh, yes, th little fucker has messed up so many lives, yes? However, I have ulterior motives as well. I am trolling for writers who use audio in their work. We now have a new category for what we do here: Spoken Word, and I am looking for those of us who do that. If so, or you just want to explore the possibilities, hit me back and let’s talk. I think you know HER; aske her about it.

      • Thank you for reaching out and telling me about it. And thank for reading my silly scribbles.
Yep, he was. I think I have another poem coming with a Cupid as a victim. (Does it seem like I am vengeful toward it?! No? Lol)

        “)

    • I was trying to get a Spoken Word group going here, but that fell through; however, I did manage to get a Spoken Word category for us when we publish pieces — or edit them — if you have audio embedded on the page. We now have a pretty good start at a Spoken Word library if you check it out. Jut choose CATEGORIES on the main banner, then Spoken Word on the dropdown.

    • Moving verse with mystery woven in.
