    • I had to read this twice… the first was in the dark… then I switched on the light and read it again… wow .. you always make things difficulty amazing… your writing is just just… amazing… and you make me forget words… I only remember amazing

    • Thank you so much for your kind comment, Sam. I have released a book book (a book that lends itself to being read in the old style by the hearth of a cosy fire, flicking pages as opposed to flicking ebook screens): Hearts & Minds written from a male perspective by Daniel Furl. Unbelievably, for me, you, us writers, I’m venturing out of my shell, selling the book (others, too) at leisure centres and village craft markets! The opening part, Trains, has railway-mad Daniel, aged 10 narrating his early life, spotting trains. It leads into Chasing Trains, mysterious and dark! The perfect fit. I’ll message you about posting the cover here, I’ll donate! Harriet-Jacqui xx

    • An awesome write by an awesome writer, if I do say so myself! I’m happy that you decided to post something in here! You’re needed! And this isn’t really a dark write, my dear. I get more of a vibe of searching for a solution to a frustrating moment, yeah? Anyway, I love the message you carried consistently throughout the poem. It moves along fluidly and keeps the reader spellbound to the end. Well done, my love!
      Hey, get some sleep!

      • Well hello big sexy! Haha
My original write was a bit darker before I decided to change it up. I felt this write was more hopeful for a positive outcome. We all go through our own version of hell before we find heaven. I found mine so I changed the write to reflect my current state of mind. You have a lot to do with that mister! Lots of big changes on the horizon! I feel very blessed at the moment:)
        Love you sweetie.

    • Beautifully penned, Adel. Another excellent write with lots of layers my friend. I concur with Mark, I don’t think it’s a dark write, it does have a mysterious vibe though. Amazing read as always. Appreciate you.

      • Damien!
It’s been a minute since I posted, so I’m thrilled you stopped by for a read amigo.
In the original write I was speaking to my priestess about my demoness.
Didn’t flow the way I wanted it to so I edited it out.

Thank you for the comment. It’s appreciated.

    • Hi Gus!

It’s so wonderful to hear from you. Yes I did! Willow is a rock star so her ode gave me an extra skip in my step. Haha
I am so honored to have an Amsterdam fan base which would not be possible without you and your talent! No joke. You rock on that guitar amigo!
As for the write I had not been on for a while and decided to post something. I’ve been busy finishing the first draft of my book! So excited for the future:). Life is a true blessing.
Thanks for stopping by and for the read.
Give Amsterdam a huge hello and thank you from me!

      • Hoi A.,
A very small fan base, just the love of my life and me. And all the people that gave their compliment to you.
I don’t believe in taking myself too seriously. If we don’t laugh at ourselves, someone else will.

I try to match the lightness that you put into the ode to your love. And I think that this one’ just as good.
        Warm regards, Gus

    • Well hello Tim!

Thank you so much for stopping by for a comment. It’s been a while since I came on so thank you.
How have you been! Still drumming along I hope. Haha
Yes, I wanted it to have a witch doctor vibe to it.

My grandmother would always give us blessings if she knew we were having night terrors or having really horrible luck. It was her way of trying to help you. I look back at it now and realized how much power she gave her faith.
I struggle with that sometimes but other times I’ve realized it’s all you got amigo:)

      Stay cool Tim!,

    • There’s definitely nothing dark about this one, girl. This one rolls out almost spiritually. Whether pagan calling to their priestess or spirit calling to her inner priestess…this hits beautifully. We have entered “spooky girl” season and it’s time to bring out the fun stuff indeed! I’m not much good at spooky, but maybe I can try my hand in honor of the month. 🙌

      • Hi Willow! Thank you so much for your snaps on this!
My original was a bit darker compared to this post. I enjoyed this one more. lol

And yes, it’s that time of year. Go for it!
        You can totally slay it!
