    • Dear R,

For me, in this moment I feel as though in this write, I can hear and feel the pain of loss and missing someone so much every muscle hurts. It’s a beautiful piece of love and doing ones best to keep moving along. H 🌷

      • You are a diamond H. I just wish you believed in yourself a liitle bit more. Of course I have moved on, but I still climb into an empty bed. Someone whispered a secret to me – they told me Bruges is so romantic in the spring

What a Xmas day that was. My niece is so blonde and attractive and some twat couldn’t keep his hands to himself. No one, and I mean no one, fucks with my family. He was a short little prick (and I never use height as a bully boy tactic) but boy, he got it. My Dad would have been proud of me. End of.

Nothing more to write Hon. xx

    • I’m a sucker for people who split Spanish and English.
So this write was a pleasant surprise!
The whole poem is a gem but the ending is perfection:)

      Merry Christmas 🎄

    • Let it out, Rob. The grief subsides, but the hole remains. We try to find a corner of our soul to store such things in, because they aren’t going away. So, we adjust. Writing is and always will be a tonic for us. You make a good medicine man.
I had a horrible habit of sticking up for anyone that needed it, back in the day. All the younger years of fighting my brother, I didn’t realize at first how good I was at it. Nowadays I have to be smarter. I’m older, etc. But… LOL
I loved your write. The capacity to find the words to convey your thoughts isn’t always easy. But you found a way, with a great result. Write on.

      • You totally get me Mark. I’m 56 now and do I ever learn? Probably not. I have a huge scar over my eye and my dear Mam always told me to look in the mirror and learn. God love her, but I never did. Welsh Rob

    • This is great! You should write more often.

    • Thank you! I’m working on it amigo.
I got a promotion at work and I don’t have the time as much.

      Thanks for your snaps!!

    • Dear A,

I love the momentum in this piece. For me it really looks the gratitude and potential of relationships and events that occur during a year in the life. How fast they come and go. Congrats on your promotion! Life to see your writes.
      H x 🌷

      • Hi Honoria!
There is so much gratitude! This past year I lost my little chihuahua Daisy in November. Right before Thanksgiving. I was a mess. I had her for around 18 years. She was so old and her eyesight was going. Had to give her a little nod in my opening:)
Mark found a chihuahua Christmas ornament and put it on our tree.

I’m also looking forward to 2026. All the possibilities!

I’m so happy to see you here and commenting:)
        Best Christmas gift ever!

    • Hey my little busy Bee! ’25 was such an awesome year for you! Besides Daisy, of course. But your life has so much going on in it. Even getting your book out there in the world! Thank you for sharing it with me. All of my highlights of ’25 involve you!
This write of yours is so positive and empowering. I love the feeling of determination that is being carried within it. And I’m glad that you got some creative results out of the Taylor movie. I will be more kind when talking about her from now on. LOL
I’m all about my Adelphina! Woo hoo!

      • Hey there lover!
This write is all about timing. To be prepared for whatever comes your way. To handle it gracefully or at least the best you can. To not cower which is hard for me. I’m brave with a pen but sometimes not always in real life! lol
You have been my highlight for the past 3 years!
And yes, the documentary from Taylor swifts last tour is very inspiring. I didn’t realize how massive her show was.
I just remember how expensive the tickets were.
I’ll only spend that much on a purse, maybe!

Thanks for your awesomeness in 2025!
        MWA!

    • Beautifully penned, Adel. An excellent write my friend. Merry Christmas to you and Mark, hope all is well with you both. Appreciate you.

      Damian

      • Hi Damien!
Thank you for your snaps amigo!
2025 is right around the corner. I’ve had so many changes and transitions this year.
All positive but I’m slow to embrace change. I’ll get there just don’t rush me. Hahaha

Hope you had a Merry Christmas:)

    • Love this, great to see you writing Lady

      • Thanks Meme!

I’m working on it. Just need to get in that writing zone. I know you understand. The need to feel that inspiration in order to pick up that pen! Sometimes it evades me.

Now I gotta catch the last season of Stranger Things!
Fixing to get on Netflix! Woop Woop! Hahaha

Thanks for not being a stranger buddy!

    • The beginning of each new year is another reset of our aspirations. We have a chance to start anew with hopes for a better year, a more productive year as long as we persist in our endeavors. I hope yours is all that and more Adelly. Best wishes to you. 🙂

      • Hi Tim!
Happy New Year amigo! Thank goodness for resets. I don’t know anyone who didn’t need one.
Whether it is about losing weight or finding love or being prosperous.
In some way we bargain with our future every new year.
We make decisions with hope in mind. It’s very cosmic in some way.
Hoping all our stars will align like paths.

Best wishes to you too buddy!

    • This reads like a prayer and a dare at the same time. I love how 2026 is treated as a living witness—something you’re negotiating with, not wishing on. The imagery of ink, doors, courage, and the red carpet earned through work (not luck) feels honest and earned. There’s vulnerability here, but also resolve. It doesn’t beg the future—it challenges it.

      • I love this comment!
Yes, I didn’t want this to come across like I was begging for a great year.
We come across challenges every year. It’s inevitable. I want to go into the new year courageously, come what may.
This year I think 2026 or every new year for that matter as a quest. A year long quest. It will either break me or make me stronger. I’m an optimist. So either way each year makes me grow:)

        Happy New Year!

    • You brought in the New Year with pizazz my friend. This was a great fiesta of a poem. One that made my heart dance like raindrops on a banana plant leaf. I could feel the exuberant hopes encapsulated in your poem.

      John

    • Hi John,

I love the idea of a blank new year. Nothing has happened yet, but oh the possibilities it can bring:)
Happy belated New Year my friend.

  • Future

Nowadays ,we try to live best our lives.Sleeping soundly through starless nights. And inner turmoil, inner fights. Months, days go by.And the years really fly.And we try to hope and pray. Alas,we use magic. To sculpt dreams out of clay.So that they all come true. And...

    Lioness of the Desert

Lioness of the Desert        Julian stretched, the clatter of china against ceramic a small rebellion in the hushed breakfast room of their Marrakesh riad. Outside, the morning light, already fierce, began its daily assault on the city’s ochre walls....

    • I like the way you story tell. You take everything into consideration when building the tale. Nicely done

      • Thank you so much Fia. Much appreciate you reading and your most kind words on my story, my friend. Most grateful.
