      Thoughts thought

night wandered alone, dark feet encased in silent comfort dreams a decor - silver starred, lined with whispered perfectioneyes gazing, appraising -  meandering  future thoughtsdared -  in an unholy language via its blushing thesauruspages blurred with dubious regard yet...

      • Such a rich and layered piece. I love how it drifts like a dream, full of texture and sensation. The imagery feels both mysterious and intimate, especially in the way it moves from silence into warmth.

      • This is such a deeply moving piece. You take us there & there is a breathtaking place. I’m a sucker for dew-laden grass in the mornings.

      • Many thank yous, Willow. You have found what I tried to say without over-stating. Is said that feet soaked in dew remain innocent for life!

      • I could see this printed within a book. It’s just the right amount of personal note along with staying on a creative writing avenue. It’s mature (educated) yet intoxicating.
        Well crafted poetry.

      • I could go overboard with thanks, Styxian! I try very hard to get to the core of writing the use of my own words! I was initially a short story writer but now destined to try my hand at poetry. Not easy! Take care.

      • I’ve honestly have only watched the first episode of Stranger Things. but your poem stands powerfully on its own. The imagery is so vivid and eerie, it feels like a story in itself.

        • In the fourth season there is a character that plays the song from Metallica. So epic!!!! I put the link below in case you’re curious. I haven’t been writing the past year. I’ve been busy trying new things so your comment means the world.

          Thanks for stopping by:)

      • Wow this is dark. I remember the show. Nicely written.

        • Hey Fia. Thank you!
I wrote this yesterday trying to find my mojo. lol
It’s been a while since I’ve sat down and written anything.
I’m going to post more often but it might be some older stuff from DUP.
Im still simmering on my other write about wildflowers.
Fingers crossed I will write something this weekend.

          Thanks for the support:)

      • What! Of course you should’ve been made! All of my bad luck, you are my salvation!
You don’t write “dark” much. But obviously you can when it hits ya. The plethora of details within the write make it full, like a bag of candy when trick or treating. (That black cat I saw a few weeks ago was right outside my front door this evening!).
        Haunting write, my Morticia,LOL.

      • Hahahaha. There’s your word plethora!! You crack me up up.
Me a good luck charm? I feel a pandora charm coming on hehehehe
And you can’t take it back. I’m still your salvation but you have to take me shopping for girl stuff!
        Thank you lover !!

        • I was telling Glen, at work, about my boots you got me! He was asking about when is the hat happening. LOL. I told him I’m more a ball cap guy.

      • Powerfully penned, Adel. Excellent write my friend, this one has darker tones. I dig it. Appreciate you.

      • Hey there amigo. It’s the month of Halloween!
Now is the time for darker writes:)
I’m going to indulge in my dark side for a minute. lol

Thanks for the snaps on this write!

      A Book Report using Cliff's Notes (a non-scholarly review)

A Book Report using Cliff's Notes  ( a non-scholarly review)   The Whale filled several hundred pages the one-legged captain harpooned his dream and in the end went overboard with his quest   and then in jest Ishmael told the others to call him finding later on that to be the first...

      • lol, My nightmare book report was Silas Marner. I remember those days of summer that were stolen from us.

      • Oh, thank God! For a moment I thought this would be some dry learned lecture, then the first verse got me chuckling. When Ishmael asked the others to call him, I just howled and my wife came back here and asked me what was wrong. I told her, “I’ll just have to read this to you.” So I did, and we both roared with laughter all the way through. Thank you so much for this one, Jake. We really needed that. You have any more like this? I can go put on the popcorn!

        • ha ha….I don’t even lecture to my classes. All satirical and glad that it could give you a few chuckles. Thanks for letting me know this.
There is truth in this in the fact of me hating Moby Dick with a passion.
          j.

          • Just please give us more of these. You now have a niche market your fans are literally howling for. Doing anything else could be dangerous.

      • Cleverly penned, Jacob. Amazing write my friend. Appreciate you.
