      • This is good. The way you opened it and then drove your message home. Nice xoxo

      • Thanks Fia….some days for whatever strange reason seem more difficult than others but you learn over time that it will pass…..I’m good by the way.💋

      • LOL great ending, Peter. There’s definitely a lesson in this and you detail it perfectly. Thanks for reminding us each day, and each deed counts.

      • This is such a solid message. And that ending…fantastic landing!

      • Thanks Mary……you’re on my heroes list.
        💋

      • The number of times I wake up in the morning and complain about how I don’t want to do whatever thing it is I have to do that day. This reminded me so much of that. It’s all about the choices we make every day, at least to control the things we can control.
And the twist at the end… really wraps it up in an interesting way.

Keep An Eye On That Boy!

My great grandmother lived to be ninety-six years old. She lived through both world wars and the Great Depression. She passed in 1986, I believe. We visited her every Sunday without fail.  From the time I was born till I...

      • I thoroughly enjoyed this story, Damian. I love the simplistic history that makes us all humans deep down, no matter if we try to hide it.
I have very vivid memories of one of my grannies. She was a tiny firecracker. Snap a chicken’s neck and yet tend to our little boo-boos with TLC with the same hand.
        Burger Chef rocked!
Wonderfully vivid write, it kept me enthralled.

        • Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Mark. So glad you enjoyed the story my friend. Cool, somebody remembers Burger Chef. lol. It is the simple things in our histories, that really show our similarities as human beings, couldn’t agree with you more. Grannies, are just different, in a good way. Appreciate you.

      Another Episode

As I write here, I am sitting outside and the weather is beautiful.   As I imagine shapes of words I choose those that are poetic and meaningful to the topic. Another episode today, and another humiliation! I cannot go on like this…   So, I write...

      • Poetry, or just word doodles are medication for many. The mind finds its hiding place and sentences are comforting to spill. I know some who survive by them.

      • That’s what my days have been like for weeks now haha

      • The light only blinds and befuddles us, while darkness softly and thoroughly embraces our truth, regardless. There is indeed something special about nothingness -the void- where everything and nothing is possible.

        Superb write, my friend!

      Moonlit Candlelight

Moonlit screams as they ripple the air from the grave of a girl. Moonlit corpse as she appears through a blanket of mist.   Moonlit ghost as in life, she’s lost, angry, whispers secrets.   Candlelit giggles as she’s in the flesh her glinting emerald eyes....
