    Love Sonnet LXVI

Love Sonnet LXVI   When I was younger, life seemed easier, filled with sun light adventures of us holding hands while walking through   a forest of Aspen and green. But, as I grew older, a Winter wind blew in my face, no mater which way I turned.   Then I...

    • You just nailed the seasons here Curt .. well you did, all bar Summer .. Now I’m betting you are going to have one hell of a time between the coming of Spring & Autumn .. Write on brother .. Neville

    • Love love this one… it’s one of those that flows sweetly from the heart into ours, just how love should flows. “welcome the chaos of your smile” how gorgeous this line is… expressing the bittersweet mess love can make us feel, it will stick in my head along other lines too, oh perfect poetry of love ✨💖💕 I like the song too, it fits the emotional ambiance. Thank You🤍

      • Hi Light. Can’t go wrong with the Moody Blues. Their music is poetry. That line came to me as I was thinking about the woman who became my true love. She left me for another, for a more “normal” life, but I still think about her.

Thanks Light, I appreciate your comments and visits muchly.

        • Hi and Good Evening ✨

Sorry to hear about that, but let’s us say even sadness can be an inspiration and birth good poetry 😊

          Wishing You Happy Days 🎈

    • Ms. Mary, within a smile, worlds collide, kaleidoscopes swirl colors, and hearts beat faster into a blush. In other words, CHAOS!!! Who knows what would, or could have happened had those letters been sent, or words spoken? Perhaps a wonderful chaos?

Thank you, Mary. I always look forward to your visits and words.

        • oops didn’t mean to send that too short of a reply. I read your paper? instructions about the nature of and what constitutes a formally written English Sonnet. I am afraid I have only ever attempted one. If I can find it I will post in the “Back To Poetry Basics” group. This group was mented to me by Valuptas Whispers Unholy. and then I saw Fia’s…Read More

          • C’mon, Curt, join-in. There’s nothing like taking advantage of an opportunity when it present itself, and it’s FREE! With your creative talents, it would be most thrilling to read your version of a proper Sonnet, and then you’ll know how from then on. : )

    Lagunitas IPA

Lagunitas IPA   Sitting in this IPA haze wondering why this winter moon is staring at me with its silver hue. I wish it would stop. Staring that is. So I can fade into my Lagunitas IPA and quietly walk the beach in Petaluna, Ca alone. Walking bare foot, sand laughing between my toes, laughing...

    A Dragon, Unicorn Fantasy

A Dragon, Unicorn Fantasy     Once, long before horses roamed this earth, dragons and unicorns, some with tangerine coloring, lived and played, bringing magic and ethos to the land. It was also a time of ice, fire, and pain as humans began their descent from trees, where green leaves turned placid from the...

    • Unicorns, dragons and plant devas are still among us! But most humans have lost their belief in the magic that dwells all around us. Whenever you spend time in nature, you can feel and smell the Spirit of different plants (their devas) which guide you to their hidden healing properties. It’s the same with unicorns and dragons. We just have to rediscover them and to become aware of the spiritual world. Become like children… I’m serious about it.
      Awesome work, dear Curt!

  • Okay, I am stuck with this, but I am trying.

Was born with eyes wide open
To be prepared for the truth
No one seemed to care or wanted to offend
What had happened on the roof

Time withholds memories in a box
We crawl, then stand, and eventually walk
As a rusty key enters an unforgiving lock
Uttering words before learning to talk
