    Greetings from the (W)alternate (You)niverse

I thought it had been a surreal dream or some runaway fantasy A vivid hallucination of the psychosomatic kind But when a portal of blue light opened right in front of me It felt like a vortex from my cortex was compressing...

    • Oh, what kind of adventure will he take you on? Now I am curious.

      • A couple of years ago, I did the NaPoWriMo challenge at DU with 30 stories. I was able to correct my “other” selves as well as learn about my other parallel universes. I escaped zombies, I fought nazis, heck, I even got lost in space, The imagination of an infinite number of multiverse knows no bounds, so who knows how many shenanigans I’ll get into this time. We’ll see

    • Phenomenally penned, Wally. Amazing write my friend and a nice start to the series. Appreciate you.

      • I was just mentioning to Fia that I did a 30 part series at DU a couple of years ago and it was a fun adventure (though I was under the time constraint of the challenge, 30 poems in 30 days). I may take on it again this year but I’ll see what I can come up with this time.

    I wonder

    • Powerfully penned, Fia. Excellent write my friend, I’ve always been a fan of your musings. This one does not disappoint. Nicely done. Appreciate you, cuz.

      Damian

    • Thank you for sharing your musings with us!
Life comes without a safety net. To think that we have control is an illusion. But everyone of us has a reliable inner compass knowing what’s right or wrong and guiding us. It’s called intuition, and we can trust it. It’s your tour guide while climbing mountains. It won’t lead you astray.

    • The first line is amazing, gripping. The rest of the poem builds well. I’m a minimalist. The first line can hold its own.
      Regards James

    • Chère F.,
I don’t wonder/care why your.work resonates so deep with me; I am happy that it does.
This is another one to be grateful for.

I am sure you are familiar with the: use it or lose it thing?
It’s not applicable for muscles alone! I truly believe that.
My wish for you is to use it a lot!
      Warm greetings, Gus

    • A though provoking piece! Well done, Fia! “)

    • dont think about … keep fighting

    • The world needs fighters who will stand for things that are right. Of course you get tired, but if the spirit is strong, the strength will come.

    For Nothing

    • Powerfully penned, Wally. Excellent write my friend. I too have been there before brother. Appreciate you.

      • Thank you Damian. I think as we grow older and see things in a different way, we come to understand our selves more. Glad this resonated with you.

    • hello dearest ME I myself don’t know where my poems come from this a great glance into your soul ❤️

      • I believe my poems are a part of me. They come from my subconscious. 🙂
Thank you my friend for reading and support! Highly apprecited! <3

    • Thank you, Damian! Highly appreciated “)

    • This is a hell of a write, my friend — very powerful; but I see a typo, I think, when you wrote, “In a battle of write and earse” when I believe that last word should be “erase,” yes?

Also, you may not be aware of the big LISTEN button that now lives on this page and no doubt many more of yours as well as many others who labour but are not aware of our unwanted AI reader who has hitch-hiked on the work of everyone who has not attached the #excludetx tag to their work.

      • Thank you brother for reading and the comment. Also for both the correction and exclude tag. I appreciate it! “)

    • This is quite mind-blowing.

I admire the punchy and reflective lines through each stanza.

I can sense this is a personal piece, it describes an emotional journey taking place.

It is enlightening and tragic at the same time.

A pleasure to take in. x

    • Dude…This is a kick ass piece. Your writings always intrigue me.

    • That carries a stark rhythm, the triple negation (“no man shall endure nor beast”) gives it a biblical, almost covenantal tone. The phrase “monstrous loneliness” works well because it personifies isolation as something with appetite and form. Appreciate you.

    • A great mystery unfolds. The nature of the muse.
      Regards James
