    Hands of Leaves

Another Oak October      is soon to pass     but not before     I heed the calling    of my documentary tree With aged brown leaves     and venation patterns     veins similar and...

    • I guess we can see ourselves in everything nature has to offer… a tree rising then withering away, a leaf dancing in the wind then falling to the ground, a cloud flying above then evaporating in the sky… a beautiful poem

      • Hi Sam!

Thank you for the lovely comment. Nature is a great muse for me. Even the outer limits like space.
When we use it to capture ourselves or habits, like aging or rebirth, it becomes relatable. At least for me.
Being from Texas with all the heat and quickly changing weather patterns, it’s quite the muse!

        Thanks for stopping by Sam!
        Always great to see you!

    • yay! You posted something! And gee, how ironic that this one and my latest mimic the other. Almost like we are linked somehow!
This is beautiful, like you! I love the expressive wisdom that is delicately placed within the lines. It attaches some history as an acknowledgement, but moves on to your present day, and how you feel enveloped in a calming day.
      Wonderful baby.

      • Well hello there big sexy!

Yes, I posted something. Needed a break from my book for a minute.
Plus it feels good to give back to the writing community here.
And us being linked was totally inevitable since I snared you in my poetry’s web! Hehehe
It feels great when we post similar subject matter:)

        Smooches sugar lips!

    • Beautifully penned, Adel. Another excellent write with spectacular imagery my friend. You always manage to paint a picture with your words. Amazing read as always. Appreciate you.

      • Hi Damien,

Honestly I can’t wait to do the digital art for this write. I’ve got so many images in my head!
And that leave that inspired this write totally looked like a hand.
I had to go to my desk and jot down worlds! lol

Thanks for the awesome comment amigo!

    • Okay you both are adorable. I agree this is perfect for the holidays. You have a beautiful way you convey your thoughts in poetry.

      • Hello Fia!
Me and Del really bring out the playful nature in each other. Yes, we are goofy when together too! It’s a very well rounded relationship. We are fortunate to have each other, I know.
As for my writing, I rushed this one. It shows, it’s clunky. Perhaps I will edit it some, here and there. I don’t think I will be writing new material for awhile, lots to do. But maybe Iwill post older stuff. I have a few, lol.
Thanks for the props, Fia. You’re like the head teacher here, so I feel vindicated when you give me a positive note. It means a lot!

    • Well the weather here finally decided to relax! LOL. 59 degrees in the morning is awesome! and you know how I love to write on my back patio. And yeah, drinking my mocha!
We got lucky, how our creative writing led us towards one another. What an awesome reward.
      Smooches!
November is so far away….. dammit.

    • Beautifully penned, Mark. Another excellent write with fantastic storytelling my friend. Sounds like you and Adel have a well rounded relationship, that’s a wonderful thing indeed. Amazing read as always. Appreciate you.
