Still very relevant to these times. It’s always a trip to look back and see how similar things can be.

Do you ever go back & read old writings & wonder how things change so much & yet it’s still the same? You could have written this yesterday & it would still be as relevant as it was then. Viewed from an introspective perspective, this is a hammer. In regards to the world, my friend, you’re a prophet

Thanks so much for reading and your kind words, Willow. So glad you connected with these old lyrics my friend. It’s haunting sometimes, actually. Especially when I think of where my life was at in 2014. I was an alcoholic whose day were numbered if something didn’t change. This was kinda a short lived hope spot. The idea of working with J.J. again, always brought my spirts up. We never got creative closure because we were always so far away from each other. Doesn’t look like it will ever happen, life gets in the way. We still talk to this day. That may have been the nicest compliment ever, the whole prophet angle, it means a lot to me my friend. Thank you! and Appreciate you.

The mind can be a technicolor bitch. Feast or famine, sometimes feeding us delusions & others smacking us with a solid dose of reality. Which after the delusion can be very jarring. And chaos can make for some hella good creative moments. So when it goes quiet…holy shit, now what? Keep on top of the beast, eyes open & ride it out, my friend

Powerful words, Damian! Especially in these weird times, your words seem to be at least as meaningful as 11 years ago. A great and timeless work!
